Dovetail Electric Aviation is pursuing a pragmatic route to lower-emission regional flight: converting proven existing aircraft with electric and hydrogen-electric propulsion rather than waiting for entirely new airframes. Its work includes the DovePack battery architecture and DovePower propulsion platform.

The strategy is compelling because certification and practicality sit at the centre of the product. By starting with aircraft that already have decades of operating history, Dovetail can focus the certification challenge on the propulsion change itself.
